Polytechnics were established in Singapore to offer students practice-oriented studies at the diploma level. There are currently five polytechnics in Singapore :Course fees
- Nanyang Polytechnic
- Ngee Ann Polytechnic
- Republic Polytechnic
- Singapore Polytechnic
- Temasek Polytechnic
They offer a wide range of courses such as Engineering, Business Studies, Mass Communication, Design and Info-Communications. Specialised courses such as Optometry, Marine Engineering, Nautical Studies, Nursing, Early Childhood Education and Film are also available for those who wish to forge a specific career path.

Under the Tuition Grant Scheme, the education of foreign students at the Polytechnic is highly subsidised by the Singapore government. Tuition fees are made affordable to encourage foreign talent to enjoy an enriching and well-balanced polytechnic education in Singapore. In return for this subsidised education, foreign students will be required to work in Singapore for a minimum of 3 years upon graduation.
Average subsidised tuition fees per year - RM7,700
Miscellaneous fees per year - RM250 ~ RM350
Tuition Fee Loan Scheme
- Loan Amount -> Up to a maximum amount of 75% of the tuition fee.
- Interest Rate -> Interest Rate is set at the Average Prime Lending Rate of OCBC, UOB and DBS. While the Loan is interest-free during the course of study, interest will be chargeable immediately upon graduation.
Average monthly living expenses (including food, transport and entertainment cost) = RM1,000 ~ RM2,000
Average monthly accommodation rental = RM600 ~ RM1,000

- English (Paper 122/322) [Grade : A1 ~ C6]
- Elementary or Additional Mathematics [Grade : A1 ~ C6]
- Any relevant Science subject [Grade : A1 ~ C6]
- Any other 2 subjects [Grade : A1 ~ C6]
